2-1 Down Low w/ Breakout to 1v1

U14U16U18Full IceIntermediateAdvanced2v11v1Shooting/ScoringBreakoutForecheck
This is a full-ice drill with three phases. Phase 1 starts on a whistle with a 2v1 in opposite corners. F1 and F2 try to score within 3-4 seconds using switches or give-and-go plays. Then on the next whistle, Phase 2 starts and D1 circles behind the net to retrieve a puck and make a breakout pass to F3 who is waiting on the half-boards. D3 is anticipating the pass and accelerates to pinch F3 on the boards to keep the puck in. F3 one-touches to F4 who is waiting on the inside circle/hash. The play continues into Phase 3 where F4 and D2 play a full ice 1v1 into the far end. Play resets and players all rotate one position.
